Samantha Lockwood grew up in Los Angeles and La Quinta, CA. In her youth she began absorbing the acting craft from her parents – her father is the veteran actor sci-fi icon Gary Lockwood of “2001: A Space Odyssey” and her mother is successful actress and entrepreneur Denise DuBarry.
At age 16, Samantha began her acting study fundamentals at the Aaron Speiser Acting Studio. She also attended UC Santa Cruz where she enjoyed studying Theater Acting and Marine Biology. Further studies included voice and accent training with Robert Eastmam, as well as improv, commercial, and cold reading workshops with Carolyn Barry, Lesly Kahn, and Joseph Pearlman.
Her widespread notoriety is reaching far and wide not only for her looks but also for her acting chops. Samantha received rave reviews for her lead role as Kate in the “Shoot the Hero” by Christian Sesma currently airing on Showtime for a 5 month TV airing schedule. She stars alongside Jason Mewes, and Danny Trejo. The film was also released on Demand through Warner Brothers and premiered at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

By 19, she successfully hosted infomercials and modeled for Thane Marketing International. By age 20 she was landing films and beginning to take modeling jobs. She has appeared in some music videos, commercials, and most notably in CSI: New York, and a recent popular Superbowl season Miller Light Commercial. She got her first role in and Lords of Dogtown and was named “the hottest girl in the movie” by Maxim Magazine. Recently she was selected as an upcoming “Starlet” to watch by Esquire Magazine and became a featured actress on their website as well as Maxim UK, GQ and many other celebrity websites worldwide. She has modeled for many yoga companies including a recent Old Navy yoga campaign.
Outside of acting she enjoys a Bikram Yoga practice and in 1999 she won a medal for “Best in Training” for her yoga Bikram Yoga Teacher Training. She applies the same discipline she learned in her training to all facets of her life. Her other joys include painting and designing her own line of jewelry made to hold water and flowers, Fleurings.
She often donates her Fine Art paintings and her Fleurings to many charitable organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Women In Film, Reef Check, Olive Crest, and the Desert Samaritans for Elderly to name a few. Lockwood currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
